Summary

Scooter and Michelle chat for a while, then Scooter goes off to do her laundry, and chats with Jim from GCR over a few beers.

The next morning, Jerry comes to watch whilst they organise the groceries, but isn't allowed to help despite him wanting to. Crystal and Karin arrive back from Phoenix, having failed to find Jon. Scooter asks about Mike, to find that neither Al nor Crystal had though of that, but they decide to leave it until after the next trip. Karin sees them off from Lees Ferry; Scooter thinks she looked ready to join the trip as a swamper.

The trip goes well, though Bob is not as good on the oars as a more experienced raft boatman. The weather has cooled, so Scooter is glad that she had a chance to do some shopping for Polartec in the break. At Lava, everyone runs the "Bubble Line". When the trip is over, Karin is there to meet them at Diamond Creek.
