Summary
Brenda is out delivering papers to the dealers with Debbie. Debbie tells Brenda how she came to be working for the Record-Herald, and that it was better than being a waitress. When they get back, Debbie gets a couple of phone calls from Lisa deLine and Harold Hekkinan, both positive about her coverage of the situation. Harold admits that he'd messed up, and would be tutoring Jason Bailey so that he didn't lose his place in schooling. On the following Thursday, Brenda tells Carole about it, Carole compliments Brenda on standing up for Jason. Brenda realizes that Carole is looking for friendship. Brenda has to cover a meeting of the City Recreation Advisory Board, which was two groups having a long standing argument. When someone calls for an adjournment Brenda points out that the meeting hadn't been called to order to start with and leaves. The next day Brenda gets a phone call from Jason to thank her, Brenda tells him to pass the favor forward if he ever gets the chance.
