Andy Roney is a boatman with Canyon Tours. He had been a swamper before, but Al Buck's wedding trip in April 2001 is his first trip as a full boatman.

Sockdolager, one of the larger rapids, although not as tough as Hance, Crystal or Lava, got Andy on that trip. "Andy, with Myleigh and Trey, and worst of all, with Al in his boat, got a little too far over an eddy line, bounced the side tube off of one of the river right rocks along shore, spun the other way around, and took another hit from a shoreline rock on the nose of the boat -- fortunately not a hard one. They bounced off and got spit out the bottom backwards, not any worse for wear but wet and relieved, with Andy mostly waiting for the ass chewing he expected from Al."^CF15

Andy, Barbie Tompkins and Duane MacRae hiked out with Scooter at Bass Trail after the wedding.
