Sally Szczerowski is married to Dennis. Their eldest child is a daughter named Nicole, born around 1976. There was a seven year gap to the next oldest kid. When Nicole finished at Weatherford College, she was the first in her famliy to graduate from college. There are two other children, a second daughter called Meagan and a son called Terry who is ten years younger than Nicole^DW57. In January 2001 terry is due to graduate High School, and Meagan is due to start it.^SQ13

In 1979, Sally was hired by Kirsten Langenderfer to be a part-time ad salesperson for the Spearfish Lake Record-Herald now that Nicole was in kindergarten for half-days.^AF13 Later in 1987, She and Dennis helped Kirsten and Mike McMahon move into their new house on Busted Axle Road.^BAR16 By 1990, Sally is the Ad Manager of the Record-Herald and a friend to the new junior reporter, Brenda Hodunk in Andromeda Chained.
