Marsha Ashtenfelter, along with her family, were summer visitors to Spearfish Lake. She and Dan Evachevski began going out in the summer of 1987. They went off to college together and later married.
At the time of Facing the Storm their marriage is on the rocks and maybe headed for divorce, an eventuality that would not sadden his siblings.
