Steve Augsberg returned to Spearfish Lake as a Vietnam Vet in 1972, he originally finds it difficult to adapt to civilian life, but the group of Vietnam Veterans and especially Ryan Clark help him out and he becomes production manager of Clark Plywood after having graduated from Weatherford College.

He is married to Binky and they have one daughter Tabitha, born about 1985, and a son Hunter, born about 1983.
