Time frame is April 1971 - December 1971 with an Epilogue that concluded in 1992.
The story is about Archer, Jackie and Gravengood, Mark as they fly around the country. They begin as strangers and end as husband and wife.
Rocinante refers to the name they gave their plane, named after Don Quihote's horse.
