Jennlynn demonstrates her skill in negotiation in helping Jeff and Sheila buy the Cessna 207 they wanted. As Jeff says "I talked with him for a couple hours to beat him down $2500, and you beat him down another $15,000 or so in five minutes." She shrugs it off as a skill honed for years as a prostitute.
As Jennlynn reflects on the last time at Greeley,MC14 she spies her old faithful and original airplane Magic Carpet itself. Without any negotiation, she agrees to pay $9500 to buy it back. She understands that she can't ask an airplane for forgiving her thoughtlessness when she can't do the same for her parents.
She decides she'll return to Bradford, accepting Jeff and Sheila's willingness to go with her.
